Green School Prog

Pakistan is an affected country of climate change. Flash floods, heatwaves, droughts, smog in winters, melting glaciers in the Karakorum, forest fires in summers, landslides in monsoon – all are causing massive displacements, food, and water crisis. To involve students in our effort to address climate change, we are commencing Pakistan’s first Green School Program – GSP, in collaboration with World Wide Fund for Nature – WWF. Designed on yearly bases, it accommodates and teaches students of early, primary, middle, and secondary levels on indigenous environmental challenges with global dimensions. The program also offers opportunities to learn and implement creative ways to conserve and protect the environment through a compulsory subject on the theoretical aspect of the environment and mandatory participation in related projects and plantation drives.
